![]() A few months ago a discussion developed on Twitter where folks were complaining that they were getting tired of photographing their food on the same old plates time and time again and one Twitter friend named Cheryl Tan, or @cheryltann88 on Twitter suggested a plate swap. Well, I ended up joining in even though I am in Umbria and most folks involved were in the US but Cheryl managed to get us all matched up. I sent my plate off to Paris, and had two wooden tray like plates arrive here in Umbria from Asia sent by Cheryl herself. The little trays are really a great size to serve or display almost anything but do have an Asian feel to them. As I cook almost exclusively Italian here in Umbria I was having a little difficult trying to match up a dish to my trays. I finally realized the larger of the trays was the perfect size to display a 9 X 5 inch loaf while the smaller tray would hold two sweets perfectly. I therefore made a few things to photograph on my lovely new trays and since I am pumpkin obsessed lately, they do indeed include pumpkin. I had fun playing with my trays and am sure I'll find good use for them in the future. Thanks Cheryl!

I love how you used the larger tray for the bread. Very cute. Actually, all of it is cute. Kudos to Cheryl for bringing so many of us together for the #plateswap!

Oh Deb, I'm so glad they arrived in one piece. You never know, when you're sending something from so, so, so far away! They look just beautiful with your food. Enjoy...
