We have family visiting for two weeks so we are making the rounds. We went to Orvieto, Chianti, and Florence this week, and then after arriving home from Tuscany yesterday afternoon we rushed over to the onion festival in Cannara. We had lots of fun wine tasting at the consortium in Greve in Chianti, and of course we couldn’t go to Chianti without visiting Dario Ceccchini for lunch at Antica Macelleria Cecchini. Dario challenged my Brother-In-Law into singing a Calabrian song, and both Tony and Dario sang in the middle of the butcher shop much to the delight of all the tourists. We stayed overnight in Florence and had a wonderful meal of drunken pasta at Ristorante Cipolla Rossa, shopped at the leather market and then headed over to my favorite place in Florence, the Central Market. If you love food, this place is absolutely the best!
